The Sui Generis Layers

Life as we know it is a unique thing in itself. It contains different brilliant, unusual and unique types of people with different types of skin color, all unique in their own individual way. Earlier we knew that there is only two types of people- one with light skin color and one with dark skin color and whoever has any different skin they would have been considered as Aliens.

Even today, people who have unique skin tone are being bullied by the people around their life. But they don't know what actually causes these people's skin to be the way that it is. 

Our world evolved as well as the people living in it, we got to know about the different skin colors existing in our world. So, let us take a look at the people who are living around us with their beautiful skin color. 

1. FRECKLES

NIKIA PHEONIX

Freckles are mostly to be seen on the faces of light skin people but it can also be seen on the dark skin people. Freckles on the dark skin people are mostly to be caused by genetics or to the exposure of the UV radiation. It appears on the skin due to less melanin which produces the color pigment. On the other hand, more melanin also causes freckles on the dark skin color people.

A very good example for dark skin freckled face is NIKIA PHEONIX, a 35 years old model who embraced her skin tone and has been strong since her childhood when she used to be bullied by her fellow students. But look how beautiful she appears with her freckled face. It is true when they say- "Beauty comes from within."

There is this photographer named Fritz Liedtke who is always interested in people. It is said that one day he was sitting in a restaurant, having dinner when he saw this freckled woman and asked her if he could take her photographs. He clicked her pictures under the light of neon sign in front of the restaurant. He said that it was his best work of the year.

He then decided to capture many other women with freckles, and some of his subjects loved their skin. Isn't that the whole point? To love yourself under your own skin. Majority of  the people who have unique skin would hide their selves under clothes and use different types of cosmetics to look the way everyone else does. Your uniqueness defines who you are, how you can inspire other people with what you have, how different you can be from the crowd. You should embrace the uniqueness that you've got. I mean the world is as hard as it is, don't let anyone's opinion ruin the beauty that you have.

2. ALBINISM

It is a group of genetic disorder which causes skin to have no color at all or some color or in cases, too much color. It is also associated with the vision problems. What causes this problem is Oculocutaneous Albinism (OCA). It affects the hair, skin, eyes of the person and it can be of many types.  

STEPHEN THOMPSON- Model

Stephen Thompson is a male model who have Albinism. He is also known as the 'Albino God'. He also have a twin brother who does not have Albino. He has appeared in some music videos, runways and shot a controversial editorial with W magazine.

CONNIE CHIU

Same as Thompson, Connie Chiu also have Albino. She was the fourth and the only child who have this unique skin tone in her family. She also suffered bullying in her school days but one day, when she was 24 years old, her sister asked her to participate on her runway show where she started her modelling career and then began to sing Jazz in a bar. 

There are many other people out there having Albino, loving their skin and making a good life for their selves.

As mentioned above, Albinism does not only causes less melanin pigment but more melanin pigment too, which causes darker skin. The best example for the darker Albino is KHAODIA DIOP. She self-proclaimed herself as the 'MELANIN GODDESS'.

She has suffered bullying all her life as some people would call her 'DARKY' or the 'DAUGHTER OF THE NIGHT'. She started modelling from the age of 17 and had stormed the internet because of her stunning dark color which gave her 3 hundred and 60 thousand people who follow her up on Instagram.

3. VITILIGO (PATCHES)

Vitiligo is a long term characterized patches on the skin which do not have color pigment. It can be caused due to exposure to the sun or psychological stress. It is more noticeable in the dark skinned people. Winnie Harlow is the best example for patches all over her body. She is a 22 years old Canadian Model, spokesperson and activist. She was 4 years old when a patch appeared on her stomach and after she was diagnosed with vitiligo, her patches grew on her hand, knees and face over the few years. She participated on the twenty-first cycle of the US television series 'America's next top model'. She is currently the brand ambassador of Barcelona casual clothing brand. 

4. ARGYRIA

Argyria is a condition caused by an inappropriate exposure to chemical compounds of the element Silver. The most epic symptoms of Argyria is that the skin of a person turns BLUE or BLUISH-GREY. Paul Karason is the one who suffered from Argyria as he put Colloidal Silver all over his face because he had some severe skin problem at the time of his father's death that he wanted a remedy for it. 

As you can see above that he used to look like a normal person, before he experimented this solution on his face. With the regular use of colloidal Silver his whole body turned into blue color. Paul also appeared on the famous television show 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'. Years later after been known as the 'BLUE MAN', he died of a heart attack.

So, these are the few examples of skin colors that made these people different and unique in their own way. It isn't about what color you are or what type of skin problem you have. You are what you are and I don't understand the people who criticize them, I mean from where I see they are doing way much better than the one who bullied them.
