A Creative Camouflage

Being human is tough, harder than anything in this world. It won't be wrong to say we all have suffered an innumerable amount of troubles from the beginning. Since our youth to our adulthood, we are still surviving from the unfavorable happenings of our lives. You name it- rape, gender inequality, bullying or today's agenda -creative camouflage!

But one thing is for sure- you cannot blame only one person for all the problems occurring in your life. I don't understand why anyone would do that! I mean, everyone is fighting their own battles on a daily basis and to be honest, at the end of the day, it is really easy to blame the villains for all the loathable things they have done.

Don't judge me yet! But have you ever given it a thought? Have you ever tried to understand their side of the story? Did it ever occur to you- why they are the way they are?

For instance- Jimmy was a bad man! Oh dear, you won't believe all the unethical things he did to the people around him. He drank his way up to the point where he beats and rapes his wife and swears on his children. He couldn't find a good meaning for his life. Worse is yet to come- he liked all the things he did, and his wife and children loved him still. He couldn't follow the ethical rules the world has built up for him, and through his bad behavior-he died out of cancer! But can you blame him? Can you really blame him?

Now, if the same Jimmy becomes a good man, leaves his addiction to drugs and alcohol; loves his wife and children as they loved him back. Has a fine job, works hard for his family and never dies of cancer, and then he will be the best Jimmy everyone wanted to have. He becomes the 'Safe Jimmy', hiding away all his wicked desires.

Years later, on a nice day, the same good Jimmy lost his control, murders his family and ran away to live out what he always wanted to be- a sadist, a monster and a drunkard! What are you as a judge of people's character going to do now? Will you side with the living or the dead? What would you prefer- a true face of the reality or a camouflage?

Author’s Note: I don’t mean to be all patriarchal about this. It could’ve been a Jenna instead of Jimmy, or Jimmy and Jenna both.
